Mr.M.K.Iqbal was embarrassed to note that there were no cricket activities for boys under 14 years in the Saligramam and Virugambakkam neighbourhoods, despite being in the thick of cricket promotion among under 12 year boys from 1976 to 1999 in Cuddapah (Andhra Pradesh) and Chennai district. When he moved to Ratnu Nagar in the Virugambakkam area in 1999, this thought entered his mind.
